Fife Youth Music Forum

Public Group

Description

Fife youth music forum aims to bring together formal and informal music providers to provide a platform for discussions, sharing of information and collaboration – to provide more and better opportunities for young people in Fife to make whatever kind of music they want.

’Music is special – as special as air and water. It doesn’t belong in a box that is separated from the rest of our lives. Music is hard wired into what makes us human’ – David Howard 2006

News

FYMF have recently finished a major mapping exercise and needs analysis, carried out by Ruth Stevenson of Ruthless Research and has produced a vast amount of information surrounding music provision in Fife.

The FYMF would like to say a huge thanks to Ruth Stevenson for her efforts in putting the report together and going above and beyond the original remit.

A map of youth music provision in Fife can be viewed by clicking the link below. This is an ongoing piece of work, so if your organisation is not represented or you think we have missed something out – please get in touch and we will update it.

  • Intresting meeting, great brass playing from the TRBB and a nice cup of coffee to boot. Thanks FYMF :) ….when’s the next one??

  • The 3rd FYMF public meeting takes place on Wednesday 5th October at the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes. All invited for quality youth music banter, a wee bit of brass and some much needed funding guidance.
